[It takes Nick a little while to figure out what's going on, because it didn't actually change much about him.

But once he does, it's not long before he's out of his room and going next door to Monroe's. If everyone here is human, then it's probably affecting Monroe, and Nick needs to be there.

He knocks on the door, not bothering to say who it is at first, because he's used to Monroe knowing. And then it occurs to him that Monroe might not be able to smell him.]

[No he can't smell him any more. He can't smell anything. He doesn't move when there's a knock on the door, But he bolts toward it when he hears Nick's voice.

He pulls the door open noticing how much harder it is than normal. He tries to relax now that Nick's there but the deep breath he takes to steady himself doesn't help. Normally he could smell Nick. He can't smell him!]

I can't smell anything.
