[A lot of really strange things have been happening to Nick lately, but he can safely say that somehow getting kidnapped on the walk from his aunt's trailer to his car, without actually seeing anyone or even being aware that he'd been knocked unconscious, was pretty much the last thing he was expecting.
So, of course, it's what apparently happened. At this point, Nick's pretty sure he should just stop not expecting things. As soon as he doesn't expect something, that's when it's going to happen.
He takes a quick stock of the situation - not exactly liking the look of the cell he's ended up in, but at least, for some reason, whoever captured him didn't take the duffelbag full of weapons he'd had with him. A peek in the bag says they're all there, along with his both his Glocks. And a try of the doorknob, which'd been half-hearted at best, because he really hadn't expected it to open, proves to be successful.
See? Never expect things.
His cellphone isn't getting any reception, so Nick shoulders his duffelbag and pulls his gun out from its holster before ducking out into the hallway. If he can manage to sneak his way to a place that gets reception, he can call for Monroe or Hank. Or, better yet, maybe he can just find a way out of here.]
[So, uh, nonhumans, let me know if you don't want Nick to be able to tell that your character isn't human? And also feel free to have any nonhumans be able to sense something strange or dangerous/predatory about Nick!]

Well, that's something you don't hear too often.

[Even his best friend only has one name.]

[San is most defintely invading personal space to give Nick a comforting pat on the shoulder.]
no subject
I've never been much for staying in fashion, anyway.
no subject
[There was a bit of a mischevious look from the fallen arch-angel and he didn't retract his hand from the other's shoulder.]
no subject
You could say that. I'm probably considered something of a black sheep in my family.
no subject
[Excluding him mentioning about the whole chosing to change sides and some minor details.]
no subject
There's always got to be one, huh? Sometimes it's better than fitting in.
no subject
[A slight waver in that grin but he reapplies his expression.]
I can see this becoming a beautiful relationship.
no subject
I could, too, if I was planning on staying here long enough.
no subject
I've tried a few ways of getting out, but nothing has worked so far. Its been months since I first arrived.
no subject
Months? That's pretty much the opposite of encouraging.

[He didn't mean to come off as discouraging, but he couldn't help himself. The honest angel half would soon be forced aside by his more darker but confident nature with an annoyed sigh. This was starting to get ridiculous.]
I mean, people are still trying to get out. I can leave you to it or if you want to play investigator, pay attention to the journals.

[It's almost amusing, that the people who have captured them call themselves 'staff.' Like they're all at a hotel, and the staff are only there to serve.]
Thanks. It probably seems stupid, trying to escape when apparently so many others have failed, but I wouldn't be satisfied if I didn't try.
[He's a lot more subdued about his chances, though, and already starting to adjust his plans from a quick escape to a longer process.]
no subject
[His expression had turned to a scowl of sorts. He seemed to be a bit annoyed with something.]
Its nothing, really.
no subject
[Doesn't seem like people who are partly responsible for kidnapping would show up for anything good, really. But then he notices that scowl, and frowns slightly.]
You okay?
no subject
[It was a quick retort as he waved his hand in dismissal and turned away from Nick. At least it gave him a small moment to sense what the other man was.]
Nothing to be concerned about, really.
no subject
[Normally, Nick would consider staying, to make sure he was actually okay, but Nick's a little more pre-occupied with getting back to his escape attempt.]
Thanks again. No offense, but I'm kind of hoping I never see you again, unless it's in the context of both of us getting out of here.
no subject
[It was a slightly bitter reply, but he continued down the hallway away from Nick.]
